Aura Chapter 1| Playing

    Ayşe Aura waited behind a big green bush, waiting for her brother Ghost-Eyes. Yesterday she had hid in the bramble and was licked clean all over by Evergreen Willow when it didn't go so well. Today I'm gonna do it! she thought. She had tried every day for what seemed like forever to scare her brother. As Ghost-Eyes came along the path, Ayşe leapt on him. He shrieked and leapt in the air. She shrieked too-- in joy! Then she looked up. She felt someone looking at her; she glanced at Ghost-Eyes, and when she saw that he was doing the same, she kept her eyes fixed on the big bramble ahead.
    "Who started this?" a childlike voice barked. He stepped out of the brambles, and when he did, Ayşe was relieved to see another kit watching them play curiously. "I did," Ayşe  yipped proudly (If it were a big scary dog like Dad she would have blamed it on Ghost-Eyes). Does he want to play too? "Come play with us!" she yapped.

"Yay! I'm Cedar Rose." His eyes shone brightly as he burst all the way through the bramble. "Let's play chasing!" Before he let the other kits say anything, he ran for the dens with  Ayşe and Ghost-Eyes running away.
    Ayşe Aura was playing with Ghost-Eyes and her new friend Cedar Rose when  Laurelen came in. "Mom!" Ghost-Eyes exclaimed as he pounced on her tail. "Cedar Rose!" she barked. "Your mother has been looking for you!" She dragged Cedar rose by the scruff back to the Mothers' den to see his mother, LilacRiver. 
    "Kits?" Startled, Ayşe flattened her ears and hid in the bramble. Then she looked up and saw that it was only Dad. "Careful, Aura," he said. "Remember the last time you interacted with brambles?" Ayşe cautiously stepped out, and got on her paws, ready to leap. She signaled for Ghost-Eyes to do that, too. 3,2,1! The two kits leapt on their father exactly at the same time, taking him down. Dad isn't actually that scary, Ayşe thought. He's actually kind of fun! Ghost-Eyes squealed, delighted. He's at least a lot more fun than Mom.

*Just a reminder-- I am nine years old so please don't judge incorrect writing          Laurelen gazed over the new scraps of fur in  the skulk.  A vixen and a dog,  she thought to herself. The vixen squirmed as Laurelen nosed her towards the milk. She leaned in to sniff her kits; as she was nosing the vixen she saw something quite unusual. "Violet! Violet!" Her daughter's ears and tail tip were a vibrant shade of purple. Evergreen Willow, the skulk's healer, rushed in and skidded to a stop next to Laurelen. "What's?.... okay?....Laurelen?" she panted as she flopped next to the new mother and leapt onto her paws.  "It's fine, Evergreen Willow. Take a look." She picked up the young vixen by the scruff of her neck and placed her and her tightly shut eyes next to the healer. "That is a beautiful kit. Absolutely lovely."
